These pathways describe our planned provision. An application or enquiry does not confirm a place. We will confirm the curriculum, available level, subjects, timetable, fees and examination arrangements before enrolment.

Zambian secondary programmes

Zambian Ordinary Level Forms 1–4

Four years of secondary learning under Zambia’s restructured curriculum, developing academic foundations alongside applied skills, problem solving and responsible citizenship.

Learning focus

English and Mathematics alongside sciences, humanities and other subjects in the school’s confirmed combination. Subject names and assessment requirements follow the applicable Ministry of Education syllabuses.

Learning online

Our planned model combines timetabled teacher-led lessons, guided study, assignments, feedback and progress reviews. Practical subjects require suitable supervised activities and any required in-person arrangements.

Entry and progression

Placement will consider previous school reports, the learner’s completed curriculum and a readiness review where needed. Progression and external assessment follow the applicable national requirements; an online course alone does not award an ECZ qualification.

Zambian Advanced Level Forms 5–6 · January 2027 intake

A two-year advanced secondary pathway in the new Zambian curriculum, intended to deepen subject knowledge and prepare learners for further study.

Subject selection

Learners will study an approved combination relevant to their intended field. The available combinations, entry grades and assessment arrangements will be published when teaching capacity and the national rollout are confirmed.

Entry and learning

Entry requires appropriate prior secondary attainment and subject preparation. Planned delivery includes specialist teaching, independent study, written work and any required practical sessions.

This is a Zambian curriculum route. It is separate from Cambridge International AS & A Levels.

Cambridge pathways

Cambridge Lower Secondary Stages 7–9 · typically ages 11–14

A three-stage programme building the knowledge and learning habits needed for upper secondary study. Learners develop enquiry, communication and problem-solving skills across a broad curriculum.

Learning focus

The proposed foundation is English, Mathematics and Science, with additional subjects selected by the school when provision is confirmed. English language routes will reflect learners’ needs.

Assessment and progression

Planned assessments include classwork, projects and teacher feedback. Any Cambridge Checkpoint assessment will be advertised only after the necessary registration and assessment arrangements are confirmed. Stages 7–9 are Cambridge labels and are not automatic equivalents of Zambian Forms.

Cambridge IGCSE Typically ages 14–16

A subject-based qualification pathway developing understanding, application and analytical skills. IGCSE can prepare learners for advanced secondary study, subject to the next institution’s entry requirements.

Proposed subjects

English and Mathematics, with possible options in sciences, business, humanities and computing. The final selection will depend on teachers, current syllabuses and an examination centre able to accept the selected subjects and components.

Study and examinations

Planned delivery includes live lessons, guided assignments, revision and practice assessments. Online study does not mean examinations are taken at home: external exams must be arranged through a registered centre. Some coursework options are unavailable to private candidates, and sciences may require access to practical facilities.

Placement

Previous reports and a subject readiness review will help determine entry and the study plan. Age ranges are guidance rather than an admission guarantee.

Cambridge International AS & A Levels Typically ages 16–19 · January 2027 intake

Advanced subject study for learners preparing for university and other further education. Learners develop deeper understanding, evaluation and independent study skills.

Study routes

AS Level is typically a one-year course and A Level typically spans two years. Available assessment routes vary by subject. A staged AS-to-A-Level route will be used only where the syllabus permits it.

Subjects and entry

Possible areas include Mathematics, sciences, English, business and humanities. We will confirm the offered subjects and required prior grades. Combinations should be chosen against the entry requirements of the learner’s intended university or course.

Examinations and practical work

Before enrolment, the examination route and any laboratory access must be confirmed for each subject. Tuition does not include an automatic examination entry or guarantee university admission.

Supported primary learning

Primary foundations and upper primary Proposed · parent-supported

Primary learning online needs an active partnership between teachers and a responsible adult at home. Our proposed model balances live interaction with handwriting, reading aloud, practical exploration, creative work and physical activity away from the screen.

Curriculum and placement

Zambia’s new primary structure is Grades 1–6, with lower primary Grades 1–3 and upper primary Grades 4–6. Cambridge Primary, if separately introduced, uses Stages 1–6 and is typically for ages 5–11. Placement will follow the confirmed curriculum and the learner’s previous schooling. Legacy Grade 7 transitions will be reviewed individually.

Learning focus

Literacy and numeracy form the foundation. The final subject list, language approach and additional science, social, creative and physical learning activities will follow the selected approved curriculum.

The adult’s role

Young learners need an adult nearby to organise the day, help with materials and technology, support reading practice and communicate with teachers. Older primary learners can gradually work more independently, with daily adult check-ins.

Assessment and wellbeing

The proposed approach includes teacher-reviewed work, oral activities, reading checks and regular family progress discussions. Families should plan opportunities for friendships, play and sport locally. Any formal assessment arrangements will be confirmed before enrolment.

    A subject continued into the next year is the same course at a more advanced level, not an extra annual subject. Guided hours include teaching and directed study; they exclude independent homework and revision. Figures are curriculum planning guidance, not a confirmed Tikatika live-lesson timetable. The final timetable, practical arrangements and annual quotation will be supplied before enrolment.

    A six-subject IGCSE package does not by itself meet Cambridge ICE’s separate seven-subject group-award rules. Check any required group award and university entry requirements when choosing subjects.

    Annual tuition equals three term fees. The instalment column divides the same annual amount into 12 payments; it does not mean 12 months of teaching or a monthly subscription. AS & A Level prices are per study year; a two-year A Level requires two annual tuition fees. Applications are open for the January 2027 intake. Fees do not guarantee a place; the school confirms your combination and quotation before admission.

    Learning at homeFamilies provide a suitable device, internet/data, electricity, stationery and prescribed textbooks unless their quotation expressly includes them. Primary learners also need adult support at home.

    Before term enrolment

    Pay all applicable mandatory general fees first, then at least one full month’s tuition. The monthly instalment is annual tuition divided by 12; subject billing includes every approved subject.

    The annual technology and library fees total K450 and are charged once per academic year. An application fee already paid is not charged again on enrolment. Bank funds must be verified by Finance before they count.

    Technology supports the school platform and technical support; family devices and data are separate. The library fee covers library access and support. Your quotation will state the provided services and any additional charges.

    2. Choose Payment proof & review and record the payment against your invoice.
    3. Upload the deposit slip or bank proof, then submit it for Finance review.

    A receipt is issued after Finance confirms that the funds were received.

    These are planning dates, pending confirmation against the published Zambian school calendar and examination schedules. Public holidays and assessment weeks will be shown in the final timetable. Cambridge examinations normally run in the May/June and October/November series; starting a programme in January does not make a learner eligible for an examination in the same year.

    Most new IGCSE learners study over two years. AS Level normally takes one year and a full A Level two years. Examination entry depends on preparation, syllabus rules and an approved examination centre; transfers and staged entries are reviewed individually.

    Tikatika Academy Limited uses the information in this form to process your application to Tikatika Online School, assess placement, communicate decisions, verify identity and guardian authority, and reconcile the application fee. We collect learner and contact names, dates of birth, nationality, identity details and copies where required, subject preferences, education and supporting documents, contact details, guardian information, application correspondence and deposit proof. Please provide only information relevant to your application.

    Authorised admissions, safeguarding and finance staff access the information needed for their roles. A private application link can show your application and document status; keep it confidential. Identity files and deposit proof are not published on the school website. Google/Firebase hosting and storage, and the school’s configured email provider, process information to operate this service; this may involve processing outside Zambia. An admitted learner’s relevant records are transferred to the school portal and learning systems.

    The school uses a 365-day retention review period for application records. This is a review period, not a promise that every record is deleted automatically on that date. The school may retain information needed for an admitted learner’s education, payment records or a documented obligation. Contact online@tikatika.org to request access, correct an error, ask about retention or raise a privacy concern. Explain your application reference without emailing unnecessary identity copies. The school will verify your identity and respond through a suitable private channel.
